Triethylaluminum (TEAL)

From Molecule to Masterpiece – Powered by TEAL

Triethylaluminum (TEAL) is mainly used in mail synthesis. It is an important olefin polymerization assistant, and can also be used as an alkylating agent, irritant and corrosive effects. The product is mainly used as olefin polymerization catalyst assistants.
Triethylaluminum is an activator, which forms Ziegler-Natta catalyst with titanous chloride to polymerize propylene, compose with titanium tetrachloride to form Ziegler catalyst for low-pressure polymerization of ethylene, propylene and isoprene.

This product is also used as a catalyst for synthetic rubber and organic synthesis, which is a co-catalyst component of Ziegler-Natta catalyst.
